This will be a playful 2 hours of exploring headstand, forearm stand and handstand in a safe & supportive environment. No experience of inversions necessary!

30 🎈

I had a BLAST last weekend celebrating turning 30. I forgot to take photos because I was too busy having fun jumping in the sea, catching up with friends and family, enjoying VH pints & eating delicious food.

I remember a time when 30 sounded very old, but it doesn't feel that way now! Honestly, life seems to get sweeter every year. I certainly care less about small worries & make better choices for myself with every year I get older. I am ready for this fresh decade of my life 🙏

Thanks to everyone who made it special, especially my mum @flynnmargareto who outdid herself with the exceptional food and hosting ❤️

I'm excited to be hosting a 2 hour class all about the wonderful upsidedown world of ~ inversions ~

This is designed for those who have a regular yoga practice, but are new to inversions such as headstand, forearm stand and handstand.

You will learn how to approach these postures safely by preparing the body with warm ups and specific drills; use props and the wall for support ; and you will have the time to practice with the guidance of a teacher (me!), ask questions, and of course have loads of fun!! 🤸‍♀️

I am honoured to receive my blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu today. This sport has added so much to my life. I'm so proud of myself and thankful for all my training partners & coach Ciaran @westportbjj , & for @dr.olgabjj who taught me initially and massively inspired and encouraged me 🥋❤️

I'm so glad I randomly tried it for the craic four years ago (without having any idea what it was!).. Jiu-jitsu has brought me so much happiness, strength & joy.

One of the defining features of a✨ yin yoga ✨ practice is the somatic experience of 🌀 Rebound 🌀

This is the aspect of the yin yoga practice where we come out of the pose and into rest.

Rebound physically allows the connective tissue to coil back to its resting state and rehydrate, and is essential to assimilate and integrate the experience of the practice.

The student is encouraged to ‘rest and feel’. On a physical level, we can feel heat, tingling, or temperature and pressure changes.

This resting state gives us time to receive sensory information. We can observe mental patterns and emotions related to the held shape, the act of rest and our current emotional state itself.

Observations of the energetic system of the body, the movement of chi along the meridians, may also be felt and observed.

There may be gained insight, understanding or a resolution in this moment.
